Which Windows versions are supported?
Windows 10 (build 1809 or newer) and Windows 11, 64-bit. There's no 32-bit or ARM build yet. macOS and Linux are planned but not shipped — the Windows release comes first.
What is it built on?
Chromium, so sites and Chrome extensions work exactly as you expect. What we changed is everything above the rendering engine: the tab model, the UI, the network layer, and every piece of code that used to talk to a server.
Can I import from Chrome, Edge or Firefox?
On first launch ZenSurf offers to bring over bookmarks, history, saved passwords and open tabs. Open tabs are imported as Surf Stacks, grouped by window.
How does sync work if you collect nothing?
Sync payloads are encrypted on-device with a key derived from your passphrase; the server only ever sees ciphertext and a random device ID. We cannot read your data, and we cannot recover it if you lose your passphrase. You can point sync at your own server instead.
How do I report a bug or ask for a feature?
Open an issue on GitHub or drop into the Discord. Roadmap items are decided in public, and most releases include at least one thing someone asked for that week.
